What is Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations about?

This is a qualification for those engaged in supply chain operations and includes specialisations for warehousing operations.

It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures within known time constraints. It may also include responsibility for coordinating the work of others.

To be eligible to enrol in the Certificate 3 Guarantee program, students must:
  • be a Queensland reside
  • be aged 15 years or over, and no longer at school
  • be an Australian citizen or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
  • not hold, or be enrolled in, a certificate III level or higher qualification (not includin g qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training)
  • not be enrolled in another qualification (not including foundation skills training)

TLI40321 Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations  (Higher Level Skills QLD)

What is Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations about?
This is a general qualification for the Warehousing and Storage Industry. The course involves a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, to develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and to provide leadership and guidance to others in applying skills and planning skill development.

You may be eligible for Higher Level Skills funding if you are working in the Transport & Logistics industry. The aim of the Higher Level Skills program is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university to continue their studies. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.

Training Style

This course takes place at your workplace. Our trainers work with you to custom design the delivery of this course at your pace. We liaise with your employer to visit each candidate and guide you through the 21 units for this qualification. You will be required to complete the assessments at your own pace until completion.

This is a general qualification for the integrated management of logistics.

Achievement of this qualification will require the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, with substantial depth in some areas where judgement is required in planning and selecting appropriate equipment, services and techniques for self and others.

Applications involve participation in the development of strategic initiatives as well as personal responsibility and autonomy in performing complex technical operations or organising others. It may include participation in teams, including those concerned with planning and evaluation functions. Group or team coordination may be involved.

Successful achievement of the licensing units within the qualification must align with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

About the Course

The theory component of this qualification will be led by a qualified trainer, one session per week in your school (or as agreed upon with the school). 

You will be given an insight into what is involved in you are working in the Hospitality Industry. 

You will receive enough knowledge and skills to gain an entry level position in the industry and provide a stepping stone to creating a career for yourself. This course will include practical components in a simulated and real workplace hospitality environment. 

Work Placement

The core unit SITHIND007 - Use hospitality skills effectively, requires students to complete a minimum of 12 shifts in a real hospitality venue. The shifts can be either a paid role or voluntary work placement, for eg. school canteen or local sports club.

On-site at your workplace – Our trainer will visit each participant at your workplace. We take you through the requirements one unit at a time. You then complete the work at your own pace.

How long does it take? Every student works at a different pace, our trainers work with you and your employer to individually customise your training pace.
