Obtaining an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence is essential for anyone working in industries that involve operating machinery to access heights. In Macgregor, EDB Training Services is the premier provider of EWP training, offering a comprehensive, flexible, and affordable solution for individuals and businesses. Our programs equip participants with the skills, confidence, and certification required to meet workplace demands and comply with Queensland’s legal requirements. If you are in Macgregor and need an EWP licence, here’s why EDB Training Services is your best choice.

Why an EWP Licence is Essential in Queensland

The safe operation of Elevated Work Platforms is critical in construction, warehousing, and maintenance work. In Queensland, the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 mandates that operators of boom lifts over 11 metres hold a High Risk Work Licence (WP Class). This licence ensures operators are trained to handle the equipment safely, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries on the job.

Employers in Macgregor and throughout Queensland must ensure their employees are properly licensed to comply with safety regulations. Failure to do so can result in severe penalties, including fines, legal repercussions, and reputational damage. As such, EDB Training Services specialises in guiding students through this process, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements while gaining the practical skills needed to succeed.

At EDB Training Services, we pride ourselves on delivering a training experience that goes beyond the basics. Our courses provide participants with both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience required to operate EWPs safely and efficiently. Key areas covered in our training include:

  • Pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
  • Safe operation techniques for boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other EWPs.
  • Hazard identification and risk management.
  • Emergency procedures and response strategies.
  • Compliance with Queensland’s workplace safety regulations.

This thorough approach ensures that participants leave with a deep understanding of EWP operation, enabling them to perform confidently and safely in real-world settings.
