An Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence is a nationally recognised certification required for operating machinery that elevates workers to perform tasks at height. These platforms, commonly referred to as boom lifts or scissor lifts, are widely used across industries like construction, warehousing, maintenance, and painting. An EWP licence is not only a regulatory requirement for machines with a boom length of over 11 meters, but it is also a valuable asset for professionals looking to enhance their skills and career opportunities. Safety is paramount when working at height. The EWP licence equips individuals with the knowledge and practical expertise to operate these machines efficiently while adhering to stringent safety standards. Our training covers crucial topics such as hazard identification, risk management, safe operation techniques, and emergency procedures. By earning this licence, workers demonstrate their commitment to workplace safety and compliance with Australian regulations.
Holding an EWP licence offers numerous advantages for individuals and employers. For workers, it opens doors to a wide range of job opportunities across multiple industries. Employers prioritise hiring certified operators because they understand the importance of minimising risks associated with working at height. In addition, having an EWP licence can significantly enhance job security and career progression. Many large construction and industrial projects mandate certified operators to ensure safety and compliance with workplace laws. Moreover, licensed operators often earn higher wages compared to their uncertified counterparts. Employers also benefit from hiring licensed operators as it reduces workplace accidents, enhances productivity, and ensures legal compliance. It is a win-win for both workers and businesses aiming to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
